Here is yet another Linux kernel, probably the last of the 4.x kernel RT.

How To Modify Snakeoil LiveUSB
Refer to this advanced topic in the manual on how to modify the Snakeoil OS boot media with a custom kernel.

No need to unzip. Just drop the downloaded file into the upload window then it'll do the rest.

Looking at the error message it appears you are trying to install an x86-64 firmware to an i686 device...
Hence the error message telling you to try the i686 firmware..

Download the correct firmware version for your install and retry.

Or alternatively you have downloaded the i686 firmware and are trying to install it on an x86-64 machine...

Download the correct firmware version for your install and retry.

Or neither and your download is corrupt...

Download the correct firmware version for your install and retry. :-)

Hi seafoodlover.

Install kernels are used to modify the ISO (so that you can boot the image with the necessary network drivers and so on)...

With install kernels, you need to write the ISO into a USB stick, and overwrite the file /boot/vmlinuz...

What you're trying to do, will work for upgrade kernels. Look for any kernel threads without the prefix "Install:", those will work when you upload them from within the web app.

Thanks for this. Had some issues with running SO on my Dell R210 II, I wasn't able to get a network connection. With the kernel change I now have a network connection.

Thanks again

With the right kernel, yes.

But a better way is to install Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (or other Linux variants) and use 1.2 Alpha4, which is stable.
