Hi, how to install Jriver Media Center 25 or 26 on original Snakeoil based on LTS 16.04, is applicable this official guide

https://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.p...664.0.html

- download binary from their repo and drop to install package column to web interface?, version 26 is unsupported on 16.04, where to download 25? i doesnt break something in SnakeOil configuration.

Yes to the first question. You might be able to get v25 from the JRiver forums.

I will find a day to write up a wiki on how to manually upgrade your distro to 18.04 or (20.04). Once you are there, you can install JRMC 26, or HQPlayer 4.

You have full access to the Snakeoil OS file system, so even if something's broken, it can be fixed. Distro upgrade is slightly more difficult to fix, so come version 1.2.0, it will be based on 20.04 then.
