Think I wonder. What happens if you refresh the browser at that stage, does everything render correctly? HTML code is exposed as in you're seeing HTML tags?

I wonder if tools like Selenium (sp?) can do all this for me automatically. Something for me to consider down the road. Some stuffs have already been automated (e.g. building of WebApp, server, firmware, installer). Others like end point testing, webpage renderings, demo site, etc havn't. Will be good to expand on my build automation to include all of these eventually.

A picture says it all. The Brave browser opens (1) in simple mode. Clicked on expert mode (2) and refresh (3)

1. Brave (Debian Bullseye) Dashboard simple
2. Brave Dashboard expert
3. As above after refresh

Looks like the language file (en.json) is still cached, possibly some other components are too.

Did tried to add some headers to say no caching but don't think that ever worked before, will try and re-look into this in U3.

For now, do a force refresh and see if that helps, see here for details.

ChromeOS was not included in the instructions, hard reload is Ctl + Shift + R

Brave browser looks good, fits the screen and headers are showing up properly.
On refresh expert mode reverts to simple. Is that expected behaviour?

Hmm. No, it should be whatever mode that's saved, and I can't recreate it here.. Can you describe the steps you did so I can see where the issue is? thanks.

The hard reload really helped. On restart Brave Debian linux opened with correct formatting on Dashboard simple view; I toggled for expert view (also properly formatted). I refreshed the page using the icon at the address bar. The Dashboard reverted to simple view.
This occurs in both Brave and Chrome (and ios Safari) browsers on HP 14a laptop.
Brave browser V1.35.101 (Feb 9, 2022)
ChromeOS browser Version 100.0.4863.0 (Official Build) dev (64-bit)
Safari on iphone SE (landscape)

Brave browser after refresh

ChromeOS

2. Simple view after refresh

I think I'll cut the label "Snakeoil Version" to just "Snakeoil".  And possibly shorten other names too. The system information panel can probably be re-organised into a simple table. Will play around with this in the future.
