Yup. That's the installer for you to install Snakeoil OS onto your SSD/HDD. This same screen is also accessible when you VNC into snakeoil.local:1, for you to remote install.

Great. Then I might have another problem. With the VNC Viewer I have tried to connect to snakeoil.local:1 and snakeoil.local:5901, but got this error from the VNC Viewer "The connection was refused by the computer". Is the VNC server active in LiveCD mode?

Yes it is. This does looks like the ISO file isn't working for you, the linux system doesn't boot up properly. Hence you don't see a GUI in your local console, and of course VNC.

Perhaps you'd need to try and download v 0.1.4 and see if that works? If not, have to wait for the next release of Snakeoil.

Do you have another computer (any computer) to test if the image boots up fine?

yes, I have tried to install v 0.1.4 with the same result - black screen

I have installed v 0.1.5 on a Intel D2500CC motherboard without any problems.

I will wait for the next version of Snakeoil - thank you for your help for now.

Cannot find any information at all if Braswell is supported by Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. Chances are it may not.

This makes it even more pressing to move Snakeoil to the newer Ubuntu. [Image: crying3.gif]

Do you have any spare video cards handy? If yes, perhaps plug in that video card and see if it works? If that works, and you have Snakeoil installed, you can remove the video card and use it as per normal.

Marking this as resolved for now. Please let me know if this problem is still present in the latest version of SnakeoilOS (Currently at early preview).  A connected monitor may or may not display a graphical interface, but the remote GUI (VNC) should work.
