[SOLVED] no ip on nuc10i3

No ip adres on nuc10i3 I try to update the kernel by usb but do not get it right. So I can still not use snakeoil OS.

I understand that support for nuc10 is comming in new alpha.

Yes. Can you try and install Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on your NUC and see how it goes? I will send you a link to the alpha installer so you can try that out.

I tried other audiphile systems, they work, Beta Volumio works, Roon1.8 (rock) works, Daphile works, Euphony works. Some of them are also debian based I think. The official release of Volumio had also problem no internet connection. Only the newer betas did work for the NUC. Same issue?
When I have time I will try Ubuntu, but I think it will run. Latest kernel and drivers the NUC needs I think.

The NUC requires a kernel that supports the network driver and you have to go through a process of replacing the kernel in the current 1.1 version of SnakeOil. However, Agent Kith is giving you early access to 1.2 Alpha that changes the way SnakeOil will be installed.  It will be much easier if you install Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, then install SnakeOil 1.2Alpha.

Please do not be concerned that it is an Alpha version.  It is stable and definitely works on my NUC and more importantly sound quality is good.

Thanks for that Snoopy.. Been busy with other stuffs this past week... @Tecko please post here if you have any issues... The stock kernel from Ubuntu is not optimised for optimal sound quality, but at least now it can get you going.
