This is one of the problems that most interests me, and hopefully I can find the time to sit down and deep dive into this. Will let you know once I find anything.

what more interesting is after I faced the MPD 0.21.X memory leak, then I used  MPD 0.20 for more than a year, good and smooth. but ~2 weeks ago, MPD 20 didn't work, when I play the music from myMPD or other player, time bar doesn't move, no music. then I changed to MPD 19, it works.

I tried to reinstall snake oil from scratch, only work with MPD 19, so please don't del MPD 20 and 19 in your future release.

Do u have idea why this happen?

It's very hard to say. Can you recall if you did anything 2 weeks ago? E.g. did you do a Ubuntu update on your PC?
Not sure this helps, but have been using MPD 21.25 for many months with no problems on Intel NUC8I5BEH.  Music mainly from NAS, but I do have some on NUC SSD.

Hmmm, I wonder... Think

Can you download this file, drop it into the Install window. And check if you see MPD 0.22.3 showing up in your media player list. Select it and see if it works?

There may be two entries. If so try both.

Hi Kith, Many Many thx, MPD 0.22.3 solve all the problems, I tested for an hr, the memory usage just increase from ~98MB to 110MB, on the other hand, MPD 0.21.X will use up 8GB in <5 mins.

That's good to know. 0.22.3 will make it's way into Gear Isolation (1.2.0), just trying to iron out the kinks...
