Did some debugging (including 4 screensohts taken with phone)

During install on top of Ubuntu 20.04 lts: +configuring network. Not using netplan or ifupdown. This might not work.

than after install snakeoiOS  did need to boot four times:
First boot:

Second Boot without login:

Third boot with login, Dac connects. After this boot ip is visible:

After fourth boot everyting works normal:

With this way of installing it seems the dac keeps working. I tested in and out. But still you have to first power the dac and than start snakeoil.
I installed Minimserver, can not find client for windows. Also tried to install bubbleUpnp but that one does not work:
Reading state information...
E: Unable to locate package bubbleupnpserver
Failed to disable unit: Unit file bubbleupnpserver.service does not exist.
Failed to stop bubbleupnpserver.service: Unit bubbleupnpserver.service not loaded.

Install finished with errors, please review the above output for reasons.

... So now back to LMS if that works. I was just courious to the other servers.
Think the Dac issue was caused by plugin upmpdcli. Now everything stays working when I followed the steps above
A bit flat out past 3 weeks.. Will look at your diagnostic file and also this thread and try to fix all the issues you have. apologies for the less than satisfactory user experience... :(

The system sometimes does not shutdown properly. Next time it happens I make a screenshot. Think it hangs on stop services.

This could be fixed in the next test release.. Let me know if that is still broken then. Might need reboot twice to make sure it's working though.
I am running now version 5 on top of ubuntu server ( as is addvice on gear page): network does not work, dac not connected So now I am going to install on desktop think that is working better

Something is wrong in the 1.2.0.5 version. I do not get ip on server and not on desktop. The network is not starting up or so because when I do ifconf there is a ip adres. I do not get any errors so can not help to debug it further.

On the webOS page i got error 403 forbidden. But i can login with winscp and putty verry strange.

Did go back to version 4, did setup my backup. It destroys configuration, because than the dac is not connected. I am tiered to start all over again every time. Was earier if I could make an imagebackup and tha flash it when trying new version. Everytime  installing Ubuntu over and over again consumes a lot of time..

I should have made this clear in the first post. You don't have to re-install Ubuntu every time. Just install Ubuntu once, and run the installer time and time again.

FWIW if you use the ZFS, you can snapshot the file system, and restore it to the previous stage anytime. This is what I'm gonna do for my test rig, just need to save up the money to get a new PC.
