Tips To Solve Issues
Introduction
This article introduces some of the information sources that you should look at if you have SnakeOil issues.
System
The System tab has a number of tools.
For clues, please have a look at the system and SnakeOil logs. Try a reboot, which may clear the problem. Try clearing the cache, restarting REST or resetting USB. If requested, send the Diagnostics.
If you have forgotten your password, you can reset it.

Network
If there is a problem accessing the instance, please check the ip address (IPv4). Change to DHCP or static if required. For more details, please see Networking.
Music Library
If you cannot play your music, please check that the library is mounted properly. If it has the wrong format, it will not mount. If you are using a NAS, please make sure it running. For more details, please see Music Library.
Music Players
Checking the logs of a music player may give you a hint of the problem. For more details, see Music Players.
Tips
When posting on the support forum, please provide as much information as you can, including:
- Version of SnakeOil
- Hardware e.g. Amd, Pi
- Steps to reproduce problem; difficult to solve if others cannot replicate problem
- Things you tried to resolve problem
